Personally, I'm getting 7 new ink pads and 9 new markers in addition to 2 stamp sets, 2 packs of paper, and a set of sanding blocks! YAY!!! :-) I am so excited. I love SU! ink and can't wait to add some color to my current neutral ink palette.

Get Well Poster
My hubby's grandpa is still recovering in a rehab facility after his surgery last week. We've been trying to go every day to visit him... even for just a few minutes. When we moved him into the facility on Thursday, I noticed the walls were pretty bare and very boring to look at. So while my hubby played poker on Saturday night, I played with my Cricut and created this poster for his grandpa. On Sunday, I added various family pictures to the rectangle mats. The poster is now hanging in Grandpa's room and we've asked each family to sign one of the hearts during their visits.
JD'S SCRAP-IPE:
♥ One sheet poster board (my DH picked the red)
♥ Solid color paper from Recollections
♥ Get Well Soon cut from Beyond Birthdays (fit to 8.5" x 11" page - 6.75" cut, I believe)
♥ 8 rectangle mats cut at 4.25" x 6.25"
♥ 10 Hearts plus Shadows cut from George and Basic Shapes and embellished with matching hand-drawn stitching
♥ We and You cut from Cuttin' Up and yellow heart cut from George and Basic Shapes
Until next time, Cricuteers!

They're Here!
I am so excited! The new cartridges I ordered from CreativeXpress over Labor Day weekend arrived this morning! I had to leave for a few hours... but the first thing I did when I got home was head to my office / scrap room and break them open. Ahhh... every time I open a new cartridge, I feel like a kid on Christmas morning! THANK YOU, SANTA! LoL. Want to know which ones I got??
Drum roll please...
My new cartridges are...
♥ Home Accents (Solutions)
♥ Wedding (Solutions)
♥ Wild Cards (Shape)
♥ Storybook (Font)
♥ Destinations (Shape)
I am so excited to play with them, but first I am working on a new project for my hubby's Grandpa who is now recovering from his surgery in a rehab center). I haven't quite figured out how I could incorporate my new treasures into that project. Hmmm... I'll have to think about it!
Until next time, Cricuteers!

Birthdays... birthdays... birthdays!
September is birthday overload month! Which makes for a very happy JD because I recently saw a fun birthday card using the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday A2 folder. I wish I could remember the name of the blog as I would like to thank the designer again for the inspiration. I loved this folder when I bought it, but after I got it home, I blanked. I'd pull out the folder and nothing... a complete block to my creativity. Does that ever happen to anyone else?? Then I saw a great post showing this two-toned A2 split and BAM! I was back. I remembered this Happy Birthday ribbon I've also been wanting to use, and the rest is scrap history!
JD'S SCRAP-IPE:
♥ Solid paper from Recollections
- Yellow cut and folded to A2 size with top fold
- Red cut to 4 1/4 x 2 1/8
- Blue cut to 4 1/4 x 3 3/8
♥ Red & blue cuts embossed with Cuttlebug Happy Birthday A2 folder
♥ Happy Bday ribbon from the Paper Studio
♥ Present cut from Celebrations at 2"
♥ Tiny yellow star from Recollections
Until next time, Cricuteers!

Happy Birthday, Mom!
Today is my mom's birthday! I was having a hard time deciding what to get her... until she got herself a Cuttlebug last week!! Once I saw her newest bug, I knew exactly what to buy. I got her the With Love borders, Spots and Dots, Swiss Dots, and D'vine Swirls. I personally think Swiss Dots and D'vine Swirls should come with the Cuttlebug... every Bug owner needs them! :-)
To go along with her gift, I made this cute card... using my Cuttlebug, of course(!), and my new DCWV The Sweet Matstack from Hobby Lobby (their 50% off paper sale always gets me in trouble!).
